Overview
CashnetUSA is an online lending company specializing in providing personal loans to those in need.
Challenge
Update the outdated pre-existing payday mobile app to reach installment and line of credit users. The new design needs to be accessible, faster, and re-skinned with the new CashnetUSA branding.
Prototyping
This project was done in an agile, sprint-based environment directly with the Mobile development team. The original wireframes were created by the other designer on the team, Chris Vance, with some art direction provided by myself. After approval of the wireframes, I was fully brought on to the project to divide the workload as the product had a fast deadline.
For the project, I worked on the Make a Payment, Take a Withdrawal, and Account Details designs. This included doing competitive market and user research to review any industry standards. All prototyping was done through Adobe XD.
Final Design
After approval from extensive stakeholder review, we were able to move quickly in two-week sprints with the Mobile software engineering. All user flows required two skins for the design, a standard gray background for the average CashnetUSA user, and the "shapes" design for our prime Upswing users. Designs included interactive prototyping in the hand-off to dev to outline and simplify the real-life experience.
